A Reminiscent Drive - Side Effects (Rare Tracks 1996-1998) (2012 Future Vintage Vaults)

Here comes a very special (at least for me) Future Vintage Vaults extra - 76 minutes of dreamy downtempo soundscapes by Jay Alansky AKA A Reminiscent Drive. These 16 blissfull tracks were collected from long time unavailable EPs (all except for Inédits EP) and compilations and include hard to get material from his Mercy Street era; because he's never been so good again. The package includes an original cover made by me, a pastiche of the minimalistic design line common for all ARD early releases. All the tracks were previously released on the mighty F Communications label, of course. Hope you'll have as much fun listening to it as I had while putting it together. Stay tuned!

Wow, already taken down for illegal content. That sucks. I was so looking forward to this! I love Mercy Street and the Given EP. And Ambrosia, too, though not quite as good. Maybe you can re-up it...I can't believe it's considered illegal when you put it together yourself from out of print and hard to find works. Keep up the great work!

Hi, good to see you back! Hope things work out for you! Looking a bit gloomy for me too at the moment, but for completely different reasons...

This download has been marked "illegal" (and is not available anymore) from Rapidshare. I already tried it the day after you posted it... How about a Mediafire link?

Hi mate, thank you for this one, such a great, great music taste...:-)

And how do I change the "type of file" from PDF to mp3 ? I am a bit lost...it's possible to play it when I choose "to open it with WinAmp, for example"...but it has the status of PDF file anyway so I am not able to open it for example in programs that read only mp3 files (such a Traktor, etc.).

Maybe someone has a hint...

Thank you very much again for all your contributions!

> don't know how to help you mate, since I don't know what system you're using.. usually two clicks on the filename with a pause in between reveal the extension and then you can change it.. if you're running windows, I recommend Total Commander with the great multiple rename function..

stay tuned!

Dude, i just finished to enjoy this and i got to tell you and everybody that... is AWESOME!!

I will never be able to collect the singles and ep's from Jay Alanski, so, this is way more important and beatufil for me.

And, although i dislike a few moments in his classic album, the Mercy Street one (Ambrosia is beautiful too but is far too different), in here everything sounds perfect, there is nothing dull or stuff, and, as a whole, it's excelent. That's weird in any compilation of side-b and outtakes tracks; but that doesn't happen with whis one.
-You have created the best compilation of A Reminiscent Drive. Thanks, thanks a lot.
Peace.
